Liberty University Aviation Maintenance Camp

The Aviation Maintenance Camp at Liberty University is designed for high school students interested in an aviation maintenance career. This free camp immerses participants in practical aviation maintenance tasks and arranges visits to various maintenance facilities around Central Virginia and North Carolina. Campers learn vital skills such as riveting and turbine engine theory while experiencing campus life. Meals are provided daily, and safety measures like appropriate footwear and safety glasses are enforced. The camp aims to broaden understanding of the aviation maintenance field, including some flight exposure through simulators and actual cockpit visits. Runs on select dates in June, the camp also supports students with special dietary needs and offers assistance with lodging recommendations if required.
