The John Brown University Summer Academy offers a unique opportunity for high school students to explore potential college majors while experiencing college life firsthand. This one-week residential program takes place on JBU’s campus, where students stay in residence halls, participate in daily educational activities, and engage in fun campus events. The academy offers a variety of specialized tracks such as Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Engineering, and Fine Arts, each providing practical, hands-on learning experiences under the guidance of university faculty and guest professionals. Throughout the program, students not only develop academic and technical skills but also grow spiritually, discovering how their career interests might align with Christian values and service. A typical day includes interactive instruction, teamwork, optional brain breaks, and evening social activities. With comprehensive programming, the Summer Academy is designed to inspire and prepare students for their future academic and professional paths in a supportive and faith-integrated environment. The fee includes meals, housing, and all learning materials.
