The Jasper County Aviation Summer Camp 2024 offers an engaging four-day experience aimed at Indiana high school students from grades 8 to 12. Hosted at Jasper County Airport from July 9th to July 12th, this camp invites participants to immerse themselves in the world of aviation through a series of educational and fun activities. Campers will learn to operate drones, gain insights into aircraft piloting, and enjoy a tour of Purdue University’s Aviation Campus and a local air traffic control tower. The camp runs each day from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Central Time, with a longer session on the last day to accommodate a special field trip. Transportation to Lafayette is provided for off-site visits. While some activities such as aircraft flights are subject to availability and weather conditions, the camp offers a comprehensive introduction to aviation careers and technologies. The registration deadline is June 30th, welcoming all interested students to participate.
