IRMC Pre-Med Undergraduate Summer Internship & High School Externship

IRMC’s summer programs for pre-med undergraduates and high school students provide a comprehensive introduction to medicine through direct clinical exposure and physician shadowing. The undergraduate summer internship is an eight-week program requiring full attendance during normal business hours, offering up to 320 clinical hours crucial for fulfilling medical school prerequisites. Only six participants are selected based on eligibility criteria including residency in Indiana or neighboring counties and undergraduate status with medical school aspirations.
