Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
INBRE Student Program is a collaborative biomedical research training initiative involving 11 institutions aimed at developing a diverse and capable health research workforce across Idaho and beyond. It provides a structured career development pathway starting from K-12 through advanced academic levels, incorporating mentorship and career guidance. Students from K-12 teachers to senior university students and post-docs are provided experimental and laboratory skill-building opportunities in biomedical sciences. The program offers various focused experiences, such as an introductory two-week intensive laboratory project for underclassmen freshmen or sophomores, a flexible internship program for geography-bound undergraduates, a 10-week academic research fellowship for advanced undergraduates, multi-state regional research exchange for upperclassmen, and specialized internships at national laboratories. Admission is competitive and targeted at students who demonstrate academic excellence, interest, and represent diverse backgrounds. It is federally funded by the NIH and coordinated by the faculty leadership at Lewis-Clark State College. Detailed program info and contacts are available for interested students.
