Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The HudsonAlpha Institute provides diverse summer camps aimed at students entering grades 6 to 12, focusing on genomics and biotechnology education. For middle school students, week-long half-day camps introduce DNA fundamentals via hands-on experiments like DNA extraction and genetic engineering. More advanced half-day programs allow students to apply molecular biology techniques to real-world-like problems and explore careers in biotechnology with student-led experiments and lab notebooks. High school students can join four-day half-day sessions exploring genetic and biomedical engineering or participate in the intensive Biotech Academy, a four-week summer program emphasizing laboratory research skills and genomics discoveries. Additional one-week camps delve into genomic medicine and genetic engineering techniques. Fees differ per program and some are offered tuition-free. These programs provide comprehensive, engaging learning experiences that empower students to explore the possibilities in the fast-growing fields of genetics and biotechnology.
