Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
HSTA Summer Institute offers an engaging summer camp experience intended for high school students from freshmen to seniors, held at different universities across the state. Freshmen explore multiple STEM+M disciplines with an introduction to community research, while sophomores focus on targeted subjects such as engineering or coding to build research skills. Juniors enjoy a specialized NIH SEPA funded health study curriculum exploring fields like public health and pathology. Seniors benefit from a three-week camp to prepare for college, enhancing their math skills and academic readiness. Participants enjoy a mix of academic sessions, interactive workshops, and social activities, gaining firsthand exposure to college life while connecting with peers and mentors. This camp is tuition-free with transportation provided, and attendance is compulsory for HSTA students to earn graduation credits.
