Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Situated on the scenic shores of Lake Fairlee, Horizons Day Camp provides an enriching summer experience for children graduating from kindergarten to 7th grade. This day camp spans 150 scenic acres, including meadows and forest trails, where campers participate in a broad spectrum of activities such as archery, boating, swimming lessons, drama productions, art projects, sports, gymnastics, and hiking excursions. The camp aims to develop campers’ self-confidence, independence, and social skills by immersing them in a variety of challenging yet enjoyable activities away from technology. Campers rotate through 11 different areas, ensuring a balanced exposure to all programs, with afternoons reserved for personal choice. Group assignments are thoughtfully managed to enhance social development. Horizons runs four sessions in the summer, each lasting one to two weeks. The camp prioritizes health and safety with thorough staff training and adherence to CDC and ACA guidelines. Transportation and nutritious meals are thoughtfully provided, with sensitivity to dietary needs. The camp environment fosters friendship, personal growth, and memorable summer fun in Vermont’s natural beauty.
