Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
At the Health & Medicine Institute, students gain comprehensive exposure to the medical field through practical, mentor-led activities that simulate real healthcare environments. The program offers two week-long sessions in Vermont, where participants develop skills in emergency response, primary care, disease understanding, and mental health. Certifications like CPR, First Aid, and specialized credentials such as the Vermont Emergency First Responder or Teen Mental Health First Aid are attainable, enhancing employability and readiness for future healthcare roles. Students experience a dynamic schedule with hands-on learning, field trips, and professional mentorship in small groups, facilitating deep engagement and practical skill acquisition. The curriculum supports academic advancement by aligning with high school credit requirements. Beyond technical skills, the Institute fosters personal growth and community through social events and collaborative learning, making it a comprehensive pre-college medical training experience.
