Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
This summer, high school students from rural and underserved areas are invited to participate in the University of New England’s Health Careers Explorations Camp, a free program focused on health profession discovery. The camp offers engaging, hands-on experiences across a wide spectrum of health fields such as dental medicine, neuroscience, nursing, and public health. Students gain valuable insights into health careers while also learning about college admissions. The program provides a residential experience with dormitory housing and meals on the Biddeford Campus, and local attendees can choose day attendance. Transportation between locations is arranged, and the camp is fully supervised by coordinators and chaperones. Funded by notable health organizations, the camp costs nothing for participants. Applications are open to rising 10th-12th graders nationwide, with priority for Maine youth from rural or underrepresented backgrounds, due by April 15, 2025.
