Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Franklin County is committed to providing enriching summer activities for youth through programs that cater to a wide age range, from young children to young adults. The free summer day camps for children aged 5 to 13 are spread across Central Ohio and focus on academic support, social-emotional growth, and STEAM project participation. Camps run weekdays for roughly six hours, helping students build leadership and other valuable skills. For older youth, Ready 2 Earn offers paid job training and work experience opportunities in various industries. This includes a work-based learning program for ages 14-15, traditional paid work for ages 16-18, and pre-apprenticeship training for young adults 18-21. High schoolers also have access to specialized tech-focused summer programs through TECH CORPS, which teach coding, app development, and web design while providing paid work. These programs are targeted to families meeting TANF income guidelines and include partnerships with local organizations to ensure availability and support.
