Explore Healthcare Careers Camp Indianapolis

The Explore Healthcare Careers Camp in Indianapolis, hosted by Franciscan Health, offers a hands-on learning experience for teens aged 15 to 19 who are curious about healthcare professions. This no-cost summer camp runs for two weeks and is designed to immerse participants in the medical field through interactive workshops, hospital explorations, and professional shadowing opportunities. Campers will broaden their understanding of patient care and healthcare job readiness while getting first-hand exposure to real hospital environments. The program is held weekdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at two locations: the Franciscan Health facility on South Emerson Avenue, Indianapolis, and the Franciscan Education Center in Greenwood. Admission requires a 2.8 GPA minimum, a recommendation letter, and an essay on the applicant’s healthcare aspirations and experience. With a limited enrollment of 20 students, this camp provides a unique chance for young people to discover and prepare for careers in healthcare.
