Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
EAA Air Academy offers a unique summer camp experience for teenagers passionate about aviation, ages 14-18, set in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Participants live at the Air Academy Lodge and explore the field through two specialized camps: Explore Aviation Camp, which offers hands-on workshops and projects, and Navigating Horizons Camp, which focuses on aviation career exploration. Camp activities are diverse, including flight and helicopter rides (weather permitting), technical projects like welding and robotics, museum visits, and guest lectures from aviation professionals. The camp runs several sessions during the summer, catering to different age groups and interests. Lodging includes shared bunkrooms and suites, complete with amenities and communal spaces like a library and game area. Financial aid is available via camperships and chapter sponsorships to ensure no camper is turned away due to cost. With meals provided, organized transportation options, and structured schedules, the EAA Air Academy is a comprehensive and engaging program that fosters a deep appreciation for aviation.
