Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Des Moines University provides a comprehensive suite of programs to engage students from elementary school through college in the fields of medicine and health sciences. Starting with GEMS and BROS programs for fourth through seventh graders, the university offers interactive learning experiences that encourage exploration of health care roles through hands-on activities. High school students can attend the Virtual High School Pre-Health Summit to interact with current students and explore healthcare pathways, or participate in the Mini Medical School, which delivers practical medical experience during a four-week program. Undergraduate students gain an advantage through the Health P.A.S.S. summer program, which explores medical careers and develops key professional skills. Furthermore, the university collaborates with YouScience, providing aptitude assessments to help students align their educational and career decisions with their natural strengths. The university’s offerings ensure that students receive support and empowerment at every level to pursue rewarding careers in health and medicine.
