Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
During the summer at Dartmouth College, students experience a rich blend of academics and extracurricular activities designed to enhance their educational journey and personal growth. The Sophomore Summer term is a fundamental phase, during which second-year students take a typical course load of three classes and begin to shape their academic and professional futures with guidance from the Undergraduate Deans Office and subject librarians. The summer atmosphere extends beyond classrooms, fostering student leadership opportunities and active participation in programs like the Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth (SEAD) for talented students from under-resourced high schools. Dartmouth’s beautiful natural surroundings provide ample options for recreation, including hiking, biking, and swimming in nearby rivers. Supplementing the academic terms are specialized sessions such as the Tuck Business Bridge for business fundamentals, Osher Lifelong Learning lectures featuring top experts, cybersecurity courses from the Institute for Security, Technology and Society, and rapid language proficiency programs by the Rassias Center. These varied programs offer a comprehensive summer experience inviting engagement, leadership, and exploration.
