Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The Dakota Dreams camp at Northern State University offers middle school students entering 7th and 8th grade a week-long, free career exploration experience. This five-day program immerses campers in college life and exposes them to different career opportunities through hands-on activities, industry tours, and a visit to Lake Area Technical College. Accommodations include four nights in university housing with full supervision and amenities such as meals, snacks, and transportation. The camp is designed to help students discover their interests, understand the link between education and careers, and gain valuable insights into potential future jobs. Funded by the American Rescue Plan, this camp is completely free and includes various recreational and social activities to enrich the experience.
