Critter Camp at Lexington Humane Society

Hosted by the Lexington Humane Society and sponsored by Beaumont Family Dentistry, Critter Camp offers a fun and educational experience for children aged six to eleven who are passionate about animals and interested in veterinary care. During the week-long camp, participants gain insight from staff and guest speakers, including local animal care professionals and therapy dogs. Campers engage in creative projects like making enrichment items and dog treats, as well as helping kennel staff care for kittens, putting their new knowledge about animal welfare into action. Sessions run either in the morning from 9 AM to noon or in the afternoon from 2 PM to 5 PM, and parents or guardians are responsible for transportation. This camp is a wonderful way for kids to learn about animal care and welfare in a community setting through interactive and hands-on activities.
