Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The K-12 Student Outreach summer camps at Colorado School of Mines are designed to inspire and educate children and teenagers in science, technology, engineering, and math fields. Catering to students entering grades K-12 in the fall of 2025, these camps provide a rich blend of hands-on activities and collaborative learning experiences. Topics covered include electrical engineering, renewable energy, light phenomena, and structural design for younger students, and advanced computer-aided design and engineering practices for high school participants. The camps take place at the Mines campus in Golden, Colorado, running from June 23 through August 1, 2025. They are conducted by qualified instructors and graduate students passionate about STEM education. Campers are encouraged to bring a lunch when attending consecutive half-day sessions, and pickup is required within 15 minutes of session end to avoid fees. Although on-campus lodging is not available, accommodation options are provided nearby. The camps focus on nurturing STEM skills with fun, innovative projects and offer valuable industry certifications for older students in the design camps.
