Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
CASE (Clinical Anatomy Summer Experience) is a specialized summer camp offering high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates an exceptional chance to delve into human anatomy through direct medical education experiences. This free, intensive program provides participants with hands-on learning in human cadaver dissection labs under the guidance of qualified instructors from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM). The curriculum integrates an osteopathic philosophy that attends to the mind, body, and spirit, enhancing participants’ understanding of healthcare career pathways. Limited to a small group of 15 students, the camp fosters an intimate and engaging learning environment. Scheduled during one week in June, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, the camp requires applicants to submit an essay, recommendations, and parental permission to apply. CASE offers a rare and influential medical school experience to those aspiring to the health professions.
