Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The Chicago Academic Medicine Program (CAMP) offers an eight-week summer opportunity for college students in the Chicago area to participate in mentored clinical and basic science research at the University of Chicago. This non-residential program is tailored for students who are rising sophomores through seniors and provides hands-on research experience complemented by weekly workshops and a culminative research presentation. Applicants should have completed relevant science courses and display a keen interest in pursuing medicine or healthcare. Participants benefit from MCAT prep, admissions counseling, and a $3,200 stipend upon program completion. Students must live locally as housing is not provided. The program runs from early June to early August 2025 on the Hyde Park campus and supports those from underrepresented backgrounds in healthcare.
