Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Camp Wayside is a vibrant summer program designed for students entering grades 3 to 8 and a dedicated Teen Camp for 9th and 10th graders. The camp utilizes its expansive 50-acre site to offer campers a blend of fun and educational activities, from arts and crafts to outdoor adventures and animal care projects. Operating on weekdays from 9am to 4pm, Camp Wayside incorporates humane education through tours of the shelter, interactions with animals, and service projects aimed at helping shelter animals. Teen Camp introduces older campers to volunteer work including kennel maintenance and animal care, alongside leadership and teamwork exercises. Throughout the week, campers engage in carefully planned activities that promote animal welfare, social skills, and community service, all while enjoying outdoor time and creative projects. Registration includes a camp t-shirt and snacks, but campers are required to bring their own lunches. The camp prioritizes camper safety and accommodation for allergies, ensuring a nurturing and respectful environment for all participants.
