Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains near Anniston, Alabama, Camp McClellan Horse Trails Campground is a premier destination for horse lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. This campground features a total of 65 campsites, including 50 with electric hookups and water, and 15 primitive sites with rock-based grounds, accommodating a wide range of campers from tent campers to RVs up to 60 feet. With over 30 miles of horse trails winding through pine and hardwood forests, campers can explore diverse plant and animal life while enjoying breathtaking views year-round. The campground includes a 31-stall barn and numerous corrals for horses, plus permanent highlines at specific sites for added convenience. Visitors have access to a large covered pavilion with a fireplace, an enclosed arena for equestrian activities, and a community-friendly environment that welcomes pets. Set on the historic grounds of the former Fort McClellan Army Base, the site offers both natural beauty and a touch of history.
