Camp Kindness and Camp Compassion at Nebraska Humane Society

Nebraska Humane Society’s summer camps, Camp Kindness and Camp Compassion, cater to children ages 6 to 13 who are passionate about animals. Camp Kindness is an immersive weeklong experience where kids engage in hands-on activities to explore the daily workings of an animal shelter and learn important lessons about animal care and shelter life. Camp Compassion offers a one-day introduction to animal shelter operations, providing children a nurturing environment to support and assist animals. These programs are designed to foster empathy, responsibility, and kindness among young participants, preparing them to become compassionate advocates for animals. Alongside these camps, the organization provides additional educational resources, scout programs, and youth clubs to support humane education at all levels.
