Camp Happy Tails is a summer program designed to immerse children in the world of animal care and welfare at the Potter League’s facility. This camp offers a behind-the-scenes look into how animal shelters operate and the roles of various professionals who care for the animals. Suitable for campers in grades 2 through 7, the curriculum includes interactive sessions filled with educational games, crafts, and direct contact with shelter animals. The week-long themed sessions cover topics such as shelter life, animal care careers, and fun animal adventures, emphasizing hands-on learning and compassion-building. Camp participants develop a deeper understanding and respect for animals while enjoying enriching and playful experiences. Additionally, the camp provides the option of extended day hours and fosters community through junior counselor applications and scholarships, making it accessible and supportive for many families.
