Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Designed specifically for students in grades 4 to 7, Camp Emergency Vet provides an exciting opportunity to delve into the world of veterinary medicine through interactive projects and experiments. Held from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, with pre and post-care options, campers learn vital veterinary skills including how to perform physical exams on animals, basic suturing using fruits and animal parts, and observing specimens under microscopes. Dissection activities with various animals and creating first aid kits enhance the hands-on learning experience. Participants receive veterinary tools and educational materials to deepen their understanding of animal health. The camp also includes creative activities like DNA extraction and baking treats for pets. Its comprehensive curriculum introduces campers to the realities of veterinary care, nurturing potential future veterinarians in a supportive and engaging setting. Special guests like local veterinary experts may occasionally visit to provide real-world insights.
