Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Nestled between the Green and Adirondack mountains, Camp Bread & Butter offers a dynamic summer camp program that immerses children ages 5 to 12 in farm and wilderness life. Spanning nine weeks, the camp provides engaging educational experiences that combine farming, cooking, wilderness survival practices, and creative arts. Campers are divided into three age groups—Robins, Coyotes, and Eagles—to engage in tailored activities like farm chores, gardening, archery, and epic group games designed to build community bonds. Beyond learning practical skills about the land, plants, and animals, the camp emphasizes values of acceptance, respect, and social justice, fostering personal growth and ecological awareness. Older campers aged 13 to 15 can join the Mentor In Training program, enhancing leadership skills while supporting younger campers. The camp balances fun with meaningful learning, and its skilled staff, including a nurse and trained first aid personnel, work to ensure a nurturing and safe environment for all participants.
