Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Xavier University’s Biomedical Honor Corps is an enrichment program that supports new freshman and transfer students pursuing careers in various health professions, including medicine, dentistry, and veterinary science. Focused on underrepresented groups, the Corps provides structured academic year advising and group activities, aiming to prepare students for competitive admission to health-related professional schools. Participants engage in presentations about health fields, receive targeted guidance on academic and application strategies starting freshman year, and obtain assistance with entrance exam preparation and application essays. The Corps also facilitates connections with health profession schools and offers workshops by experienced professionals. Although active primarily during the academic year from August to April, this program does not operate as a summer camp and does not provide academic credit or scholarships. It is designed to help students develop essential skills and knowledge for success in health professions school admissions.
