Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Eagle Mount’s Big Sky Kids program hosts a range of summer camps for young people aged 5 to 26 battling or recovering from cancer. These medically supervised camps focus on outdoor adventure and emotional support, featuring activities such as kayaking, horseback riding, fishing, white-water rafting, and visits to Yellowstone National Park. Camps are tailored by age group and treatment status, including Camp Braveheart for younger children and their families, Big Sky Adventure for those in treatment or recently treated, Flight Camp for young adult survivors who want to learn to pilot a plane, and a leadership-focused Young Adult Retreat. The camps provide participants with valuable opportunities to make friends, build confidence, and enjoy Montana’s scenic wilderness while taking a break from treatment routines. Additionally, a spring reunion weekend offers skiing, snowshoeing, and social events. Costs are largely covered by Eagle Mount, with transportation usually the responsibility of participants, emphasizing inclusive access to healing outdoor experiences and lasting community connections.
