Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Supported by a $120K IGEM grant, students at the University of Idaho are working on artificial intelligence systems to monitor microclimates and enhance sustainable agriculture. The program involves testing AI systems on environmentally-focused projects at sites in Idaho and Virginia, with a focus on improving organic crop production, reducing water and energy use, and promoting biodiversity. Campers will learn about environmental monitoring, AI deployment, and sustainable farming practices, engaging in activities at research sites such as the Sandpoint Organic Agriculture Center and Laurel Grove Wine Farm.
