This camp, run by a flight school associated with the Flight School Association of North America, combines educational classes, simulator flight lessons, and real flying opportunities with visits to a variety of relevant aviation sectors such as air traffic control, aviation engineering, and emergency services. The program is not only focused on learning about flying but also introduces campers to the many career paths available in the aerospace industry. Campers receive a comprehensive package upon registration including a logbook, first flight certificate, camp t-shirt, and a subscription to a leading flight training magazine. The camp is scheduled from Monday to Friday with daily sessions from 8:45 am to 3 pm, providing activities that include tours, aviation history insights, and skill-building experiences. It also fulfills Boy Scout Aviation Merit Badge requirements and provides a pizza lunch on graduation day. Seating is limited to 12 participants per week, emphasizing a personalized and engaging learning environment.
