Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The Adventures in Aviation camp is designed for high school students interested in exploring aviation. Over four days, campers engage in activities covering the science and mechanics of flight, aircraft construction and maintenance, avionics, and air traffic control systems. Participants can fly a flight simulator and have the chance to ride in a small aircraft. The camp also includes a tour of Rapid City Airport to see how airport operations function behind the scenes. This educational experience highlights various aviation careers and their links to STEM disciplines. The camp is scheduled from June 16 to 19 as a day camp, running from 8 AM to 4 PM daily, with lunch included and a registration cost of $300.
