Camp Rockmont for Boys
Black Mountain North Carolina
Rockmont welcomes boys from all over the nation and the world to become active members of this meaningful and adventurous community. Boys learn to thrive through activities, skills, and daily life on over 650 beautiful acres of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Camp Rockmont’s focus is male development in an intentional Christian community. Activities include camping, hiking, kayaking, blacksmithing, homesteading, canoeing, crafts, guitar, Bible study, and more! Campers live in a cabin of 8-12 boys their age, select 6 skills to learn and develop, and participate in large-group, adventurous activities with their age group.
Rockmont seeks to foster a better understanding and respect for self and others through group living and shared experiences; an appreciation and concern for the environment; greater self-reliance, self-respect, self-confidence, and self-esteem; strengthened knowledge and care for campers’ neighbors; and a greater understanding of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Established in 1956, Camp Rockmont offers a big dose of nature-based challenge, inspiration, and rejuvenation.
In a single word, our mission is Growth! Every person is loved, respected, and valued at Camp Rockmont. We seek to help each camper grow physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually while at camp.
Each summer, Rockmont serves over 1,500 boys from all over the U.S. and other countries. We partner with parents to invite young men to answer a universal call to adventure and discover things about themselves that require the kind of experience that only a quality boys summer camp can provide. We invite your son to be part of that journey!
