Idyllwild Arts Summer Program popular
Since 1950, the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program, formerly known as ISOMATA, has offered intensive workshops in dance, film, music, theater, visual arts and creative writing to students of all ages and abilities, including families. The campus is located in the spectacular San Jacinto Mountains of Southern California. Most programs are two weeks long. Workshops include acting for the camera, band, ceramics, chamber music, choir, computer animation, dance, drawing & painting, fiction, filmmaking, jazz, jewelry, musical theatre, photography, orchestra, piano, poetry, screenwriting, theatre and world arts. The summer culminates with a gala student performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
