Camp Northwood
Camp Northwood is a seven-week residential camp for approximately 160 learning challenged, socially immature children located in the Adirondacks of New York State. The Northwood program offers children an opportunity to participate in traditional camping activities while receiving the extra professional support and structure necessary to meet their individual needs. 2:1 camper/counselor ratio. Activities such as water-skiing, tennis, rocketry, computers, arts & crafts, soccer, sailing, drama etc. are used as the vehicle with which Northwood approaches the development of social skills and self-esteem. A highly individualized daily academics program enables campers to maintain current skill levels throughout the summer.
