Traditional Summer Camp
Questors Header - Come to resident camp where you encouraged to get rid of all the pretension and just get crazy! Have great time with your cabinmates sharing pool time or a trail ride. Break it down at the Questor dance or get serious during reflection. Whatever you like, camp is sure to offer you opportunities to expand your horizons and nurture new friendships. See what we are all about.
Don't forget to check out Stay-over weekends! With Stay-Overs, you can chain together your one-week sessions to make one longer adventure at CJG!
Point Bonita Summer Resident Camp - Sunday, July 25 to Friday, July 30
•Includes overnight accommodations and supervision, 15 meals and activities.
•Transportation is available from the Marin, Berkeley, Peninsula and Stonestown YMCAs for $40 each way.
Activities include swimming at a local Marin pool, nature hikes, nature garden, campfires, camp games, mountain biking, beach time, special visits to the Marine Mammal Center and the Point Bonita Lighthouse, sports (soccer, basketball, oz ball, 4square, gaga), carnival, dance, arts & crafts (friendship bracelets, lanyards, beads), inspiration, skit night, talent show and well trained staff to make sure your camper is safe and has a great time.
Mini Camp
This offers younger campers and their families shorter stays without missing out on the magic that is resident camp!
Day Camp
Kids from our local communities, La Honda, Loma Mar, Pescadero, and San Gregorio, can play at Camp Jones Gulch in our collaboration with partner Puente.
Ropes Courses
Leadership Ventures' fun and exciting programs engage your students, youth group, or parties. Our mental and physical challenges improve communication, trust, and problem solving.

Leadership Camp
Our Leadership Camps help teens transition into roles of leadership and responsibility while encouraging them to celebrate their youth.
The Leader-In-Training (LIT) program is designed for campers, age 15, who are interested in developing leadership skills.
The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is designed for campers, age 16, who are interested in becoming a camp counselor.
Teen Adventure Camp
Choose between our residential and trip programs.
•Camp sessions start on Sundays, check-in is between 2-3 p.m., and end on Fridays, check-out is between 4-5 p.m.
•After registration, you will receive a Parent Packet including details like suggested packing list, sample itineraries, and frequently given answers.
•Surf and Horse Camp programs, as well as Surf Safari, start and end at Camp Jones Gulch in La Honda.
Horse Camp - Campers will learn western style riding and fundamental horsemanship skills, as well as participate in traditional summer camp activities like swimming pool, campfire, canoes, zip-line, climbing tower, and more!
Campers will be assigned a horse for the week and participate in lessons - both on the ground and mounted on horseback - designed to help them learn how to properly care for the horse. By the end of the week campers will have developed a basic knowledge of equine behavior and be able to feed, groom, saddle, and ride their horse.
Surf Camp - Surf campers will live in a surf village at Camp Jones Gulch and travel daily to local beaches.
Experienced staff will teach your camper techniques to improve their beginner and intermediate skills. YMCA lifeguards and spotters will supervise campers at the beach.
Also while at beaches, campers will enjoy activities like beach volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, bocce ball, and lifesaving drills/carnival events.
Surf Safari - Our talented surf staff is ready to help you catch some gnarly (beginner and intermediate) waves and give your teen a trip to remember!
We will travel from Camp Jones Gulch to the San Luis Obispo area and then back through Santa Cruz hitting beaches along the way. Camp at state beaches along historic Highway 1, surf during the day and catch some rays during this exciting, yet mellow adventure. Other destinations include Morrow Bay, Big Sur and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
All necessary gear including wetsuits and surfboards is provided.
Lake Tahoe Adventure - Enjoy a multi-element course at Lake Tahoe. Activities may include kayaking, sailing, biking, and hiking.
Learn low impact camping skills, water safety, specialized activity techniques, lake ecology, and natural history.
Here are some details:
•Camping at Emerald Bay State Park in Southlake (Great location!)
•Spending 5 nights and 5 days at the lake
•Activities include: Hiking, biking, kayaking, sailing… led by expert vendor guides
•The trip will have 10-12 teen campers and 2-3 trip leaders.
Ropes Courses
High Sierra Backpacking - This backpacking trek takes campers into the High Sierras through spectacular backcountry near Lake Tahoe. If high enrollment allows, campers will be grouped by ability and experience and separated onto beginner or intermediate trails.
Campers will gain experience carrying full packs, learn Leave No Trace technique, and travel five to ten miles per day.
•Backpacking between 5 and 10 miles per day
•Visiting lakes for swimming and fishing along the way
•Backcountry camping for 4 nights and 5 days
•The group will have 8-10 teens and 2 trip leaders.
Leadership Ventures: Teambuilding and ropes courses ideal for all grade retreats, sports teams, and student government organizations. Build camaraderie and improve leadership abilities.

Volunteer for part of the summer: campfire skits, daytime elements, and lots of zany fun!!!
