Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan invites you to share your summer with us! New and returning campers will be dazzled by the wide array of program opportunities available this summer. Our well-established camps have joined together to offer the best-of-the-best programs to girls in Michigan and beyond. Take time to learn about the offerings for 2009... there are 111 options for girls ages 6-17, all carefully designed to meet the needs of our girls!

Camp Hawthorn Hollow Grades 1-12 Columbus, St. Clair County Camp Hawthorn Hollow features a fun freechoice program that allows girls to create a schedule that reflects their interests and abilities. There are also great performing arts and leadership training offerings. Camp Hawthorn Hollow is tucked away on 330 acres of mature Michigan hardwood and softwood forests and open rolling meadows in St. Clair County, Michigan. Girls stay in lodges and cabins with running water and may visit the activity center, outdoor pool, equestrian center, and climbing wall/high ropes during their time at camp.

Camp Innisfree Grades 1-12 Howell, Livingston County Camp Innisfree, set on 1,140 wooded acres, has a year-round equestrian center with multiple riding rings and trail ride options. In addition to horseback riding instruction for beginner through advanced riders, there is a farm barn with various small animals. sports, leadership, science, bikes, ropes course, and lakefront fun are all part of the Innisfree adventure. Girls stay in troop houses with running water, or rustic platform cabins.

Camp O’Fair Winds Grades 1-6 Columbiaville, Lapeer County Camp O’Fair Winds specializes in camp opportunities for girls in elementary school. This means the staff and facilities are geared toward the specific needs of this group. Offering a wide variety of themed programs, Camp O'Fair Winds excels in aquatic programs. Girls receive swim instruction and have the chance to play in the pool with its water features and water slide. Girls stay in screened-in platform tents.

The Timbers Grades 6-12 Traverse City, Grand Traverse County The Timbers offers exciting trip programs to girls in middle school and older. Girls explore arts, canoeing, sailing, backpacking, and cycling. Progression is the key to this program, meaning that girls build on skills each summer they return, taking longer and more challenging trips. At The Timbers, our goal is to offer personal growth opportunities to our campers through outdoor adventure programming. We place high emphasis on offering group decision-making and leadership opportunities as well as exciting recreational programming. The Timbers staff act as supportive guides as the campers plan their own program schedules. Girls stay in platform tents.
