Future Astronaut Training Program
The Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center‚ Future Astronaut Training Program is an internationally-recognized camp that combines space science education with exciting astronaut-training activities. Campers train in the Space Shuttle simulator, 4-G centrifuge, multi-axis trainer, Soyuz trainer and stress simulator. They also build and launch rockets, tour the Hall of Space Museum and explore the night sky. Advanced campers conduct ropes course team training and travel to Johnson Space Center in Houston and Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Future Astronaut Training Camp has 4 levels. Level 1 lasts four days, is for students entering grades 6-8 and is required before moving to Level 2.
Tuition starts at $550 up to $1895 based on programs selected.
