Camp Dovewood
Dovewood is a dynamic fun-filled Christian camp for girls between the ages of 7-16 in North Florida. We have a fabulous horsebackriding program featuring english and western pleasure riding ,dressage equitation, rodeo riding, overnight camping with your horse, horse shows, vet. care, and stable management and grooming. If you like swimming,water ballet, riding horses ,cheerleading, gymnastics,art, drama,dance,baton, softball,Bible,Christian leadership, archery,soccer,dance,tennis, snorkling crystal clear waters and polishing your talents for God's Glory... you will like Camp Dovewood. This year celebrates our 32nd year.
Camp Dovewood has over 30 horses of all breeds, shapes and sizes for all levels of riding. We are accredited with the Camp Horsemanship Association as well as the American Camping Association and Christian Camping International.
Mrs. Richmond, director, Master's degree in the art of teaching from Emory University and undergraduate degree in education from the U. of Georgia. She has taught grades 1-12 in public and private schools. District teacher of the year for her county. Mrs. Richmond is currently an equestrian instructor and WSI instructor. Mr. Richmond, Master's degree from Georgia State in business, undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech. Mr. Richmond is currently the camp engineer and takes all the river rafting trips.
Camp Dovewood has campers coming back year after year because girls not only develop self confidence, but find friends who share a love for Christ, find their talent and develop a positive feeling for themselves and others.
